Her Future Africa seeks to equip young African women to innovate the future. They provide world-class entrepreneurship training, networks and mentorship to young women across Africa,

equipping them to be innovators and change leaders who will shape the future of Africa, particularly for its women and girls.

We participated in Her Future Africa Boot Camp on 20th and 21st January, 2017 where there were sessions on building a vision, human centered design, business model canvas, communicating ideas with impact and many others. These sessions were very essential as they enabled us fine-tune our “Developers In Vogue” idea. At the end of the boot camp, we were given assignments to complete in four weeks. Out of all the submissions, we were selected as part of the top ten.

On International Women’s Day, we pitched Developers In Vogue to a panel of judges and a well represented audience. We were the first runner up for the Demo Day and our prizes included:

  • 3 months co-working office space
  • 3 months dedicated support and business mentorship
  • A fully designed website managed for a period of one year
  • Corporate Branding & Graphic Design Package
  • Social Media Setup and Management for 3 months
  • Bulk Emails and SMS weekly for 3 months
  • 2 months free bookkeeping service

Being selected as part of the first cohort of Her Future Africa means a lot to us; and we wouldn’t have come this far without them. A big thank you to Eunice and her team for giving us this amazing opportunity.
